About Stephen Petty

From the moment Stephen Petty sketched his first design as a local designer in Newport Beach over 20 years ago, he has dedicated himself to perfecting the craft of interior design. This process has taken him on a journey across the country, constantly learning new techniques and methods while building an impressive list of accomplishments as an interior designer and construction manager. Stephen’s pursuits eventually brought him to the fashion center of New York, where he would spend over a decade designing and creating beautiful interior spaces for some of the world’s most demanding clients. In 2013, Stephen returned home to Southern California and formed GP Interior Design, bringing his wealth of experience and knowledge full circle back to the place where it all started for him.

Stephen honed his skills in the fast-paced and demanding world of New York retail interior design, where the ability to strictly adhere to budgets and timelines means the difference between success and failure. Attention to detail, flexibility, and a complete set of management tools became Stephen’s trademark, and he used these traits to excel in a world where the expectation of the client is absolute perfection.
